Moshe instructs the nation that when they cross the Jordan, they should write the Torah on 12 stones and cover them with plaster. these stones would serve as a sort of Mezuzah that would protect the land. 6 tribes would stand on each of the mountains, of Greezim and Evel, with the Cohanim and Levim in the valley calling out the blessings and the curses. (Ch. 27 verses 3 - 14)
